Summary

Join the ALS Inspection Mainland Europe sales team and drive growth in the Metals and Minerals sector by implementing core business strategies, delivering revenue and EBIT targets, and executing annual sales plans through a collaborative and results-oriented approach.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management team to develop Sales Plan for FY.
  • Develop sales strategies to meet targets set within Sales Plan.
  • Build annual sales budget and provide senior management team with regular progress updates.
  • Provide bi-weekly forecasting updates to P&L responsible.
  • Build strategies to meet KPIs.
  • To build ALS UK market position within the commodities industry by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing business in line with growth targets.
  • Collaborate with global Business Development teams to build a strong team collaboration approach and maximise leads and opportunities.
  • Efficient day to day running of the sales department and to create and maintain healthy relationship between other internal departments.
  • To support staff training and keep training record.
  • Planning and management of yearly business development sales trips and conferences.
  • Define strategy for Key Account Management / Strategic Business Development / Sales.
  • Build strategy to develop business from new customers / projects.
  • Support debtor’s department to improve DSO through client relationships and communication.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales/Business Developments fields within the metals and minerals sampling and analysis industry.
  • The ability to drive and successfully grow revenue and reach targets.
  • Ability to design, build and execute a strategy.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team.
  • Proven track record of success within a target driven sales environment.
  • Outstanding communicator, both written and verbal, with sensitivity towards different cultures and have an ability to engage with international clients.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, including CRM tools.
  • Working knowledge of quality services and the factors involved in delivering a quality service.
  • Working knowledge of profit & loss systems and the factors involved in delivering a profitable service.
  • Working knowledge of creating, implementing and working to sales plans.
  • Proven track record of success within a target driven sales environment and to deliver significant growth in organic sales on an annual basis.
  • Experience of Key Account Management: Customer focussed. First class service provision.
  • Focussed upon Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and the generation of organic sales growth via the development of strong, long-lasting relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Experience of attendance at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, networking events, corporate hospitality.
  • Competence with standard Microsoft software packages and well-practiced in preparing sales reports.
  • Excellent Dutch and English verbal and written communication skills.
    Willingness and ability to travel internationally as business needs require.

 

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge of the inspection, analytical and laboratory service industry (Minerals and Metals Sector).
  • Experience or working knowledge of Minerals & Metals / Commodities / Mining / Trading industries.
